Abstract: This dataset consists of 16 .dat-files, representing composite infrared absorption cross sections of sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) in air at temperature of 296.05(2) and the total pressure of 225.53(39) and 745.66(80) Torr, respectively, in the range of 570-1780 cm-1
Other: This work was done within the project “Metrology for climate relevant volatile organic compounds”, MetClimVOC. The project has received funding from EMPIR programme co-financed by the Participating States and from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and motivation programme.
Remark: description of the individual files: Each file contains three columns: 1. Wavenumber of the incoming radiation (in cm-1); 2. Absorption cross section (in cm^2/molecule); 3. Expanded uncertainty (in cm^2/molecule).
method: FTIR
format: .dat
recommended software: any text editor (e.g., Notepad), MS Excel, Origin (proprietary)
parameters: containing in the filename in the following format: SF6_[temperature in K]_[total pressure in Torr]_air_[wavenumber interval in cm-1]_[nominal resolution in cm-1].dat
