Abstract: This data set contains the experimental results of differential scattering coefficients for nickel as determined in the publication "Experimental determination of differential scattering coefficients for nickel by means of linearly polarized X-ray radiation".

It contains the following data:

- "rayleigh.csv": Differential Rayleigh scattering coefficients for nickel.
- "compton.csv": Differential Compton scattering coefficients for nickel.

Both files contain the following variables:

θ = polar scattering angle, in degrees;
u_θ = its experimental uncertainty, in degrees;
ϕ = the azimuthal scattering angle, in degrees;
u_ϕ = its experimental uncertainty, in degrees;
σ_Ω = the differential scattering coefficient, in cm2·g-1·sr-1;
u_{σ_Ω} = its experimental uncertainty, in cm2·g-1·sr-1.

All experimental values were derived based on measurements with linearly polarized and monochromatized synchrotron radiation.
