Files labeled "467_scan_*.txt" contain data for the spectroscopic interrogation of a single Yb+ ion using light at 467nm to excite the octupole transition. Within the measurements the frequency of the excitation beam was scanned using a double pass acouto optical modulator.

The columns of the files show the UTC time in seconds, the time passed since the start of the experiment in seconds, the frequency of the tuning AOM in MHz, the probability of detecting a non-excited ion in a given region of interest of the camera image, the number of valid experiments. The last column monitors the 467nm laser beam power on a photodiode in V.

The data in this folder was used to determine the center frequency of the 467nm octupole transition in our experiment. In each file a fixed beam power and thus a fixed Pi-time was used. To suppress common mode effects, the (S_1/2, m_J = -1/2) to (F_1/2, m_J = -1/2) and (S_1/2, m_J = +1/2) to (F_1/2, m_J = +1/2) transition were probed alternately, starting with -1/2 -> -1/2 in file number 31.
